Jon Hunt was an Adelaide based Jazz Saxophonist and Clarinet player.
Biography[]
He was a member of such acts as The Shaolin Afronauts, Adelaide Sax Pack, SA Composers Collective, 1.1 Immermann, The Atlantic street band, Marmalade Circus and more.
Hunt studied music at the Elder Conservatorium of Music in Adelaide from 2002 to 2005 receiving a B.Mus with 1st class honours in jazz performance. Whilst at the University he received awards for 'Top Undergraduate Saxophone' in 2004 and 'Most Outstanding Honours Graduate' in 2005. Jon has been nominated as a candidate for the Freedman Jazz Fellowship three times.
From 2005 to 2008 Jon was Artistic Director of Creative Original Music Adelaide. He taught clarinet at the Elder Conservatorium of Music in Adelaide for six years but has since moved Melbourne at the beginning of 2013.
